I
have recently purchased The Twist from the United States, it came in the
original box and is working 100%, I now have The Twist and a Miss America 75
which is currently being repaired
I first
started playing bingos back in the 60's at two all night cafe's, one on Chiswick
High Road and “Macs Cafe". There was also a shed near the old tram depot
at Turnham Green, this was a right dirty hole but it was worth getting an upset
stomach so you could put your 6d's in the bingos.
The other places I played were
the “Garage Café” on Ealing Common, they had three bingos in there and of
course the famous “Ace Café” on the North Circular road. This was home to
the famous “59” bikers club and in the lorry drivers club there was a bingo
which was on 6d’s although the one on Ealing Common was on the new 2p’s. The
only other place I remember a bingo was in Hanwell near the new Ealing Hospital,
I think it was called the “All Day Café”, it still there today but
there’s no bingo.
All the best to you and all bingo nuts in the UK
